The Worst of 2009

The Worst of 2009

It’s already starting. I can’t believe that we’re less than three weeks into this year and I’m scratching my head wondering, “What are they thinking?”.

There are two trends that I’m going to talk about in this post – and I must admit that although neither one started in 2009, they need to come to an end, pronto.

Our first fashion faux-pas was actually sent to me by reader Kate in San Telmo who recently confessed that she almost printed out stickers of my poopy pants photo with the “forbidden” sign on it just to stick them around her neighborhood.  (Go girl!) But this new fashion tragedy is no stranger to any of you who may have grown up in the 80s or 90s and owned a pair of Z. Cavaricci pants.  You know what I’m talking about..

There’s some Argentine designer looking at this article and think, “yeah – good idea!” Well let me tell you something.  No, it’s not.  Not even remotely a good idea.  Let’s nip this in the butt while we still can.  No peglegs, no poopy pants, got it?

Secondly, it’s just a personal thing, I guess.  But I get onto facebook and I see a lot of fish faces.  I know you’re trying to be sexy, but it looks contrived.  So hold your head up, give a nice smile and take a spontaneous photo.  Make mom proud.
