French Yogurt Cake

This week’s Tuesdays With Dorie was just simply a pleasure to make. It was simple, I had all of the ingredients at my hand – and I was able to improvise without too much thought. Liliana of My Cookbook Addiction chose this weeks recipe (gee, I don’t know anyone with a cookbook addiction.. heehee) and I must thank her for such a nice, simple choice. Go ahead to her website to see the recipe.

I love the moisture that the ground almonds gave to the loaf – it was perfect to eat on a cool Sunday morning while reading the newspaper and drinking some piping hot Brazilian coffee. Instead of making lemon marmalade, I ended up using some plum marmalade that I had sitting in my refrigerator. To be honest, it was the perfect combo since I think that using a lemon marmalade would have been just too lemony for me since there was already a tart flavor with fresh lemon rind in the recipe.

Ohhh look at that texture! Divine!french yogurt cake
